                                                                        Relax.  You got this.

Here are six helpful tips for parents during remote learning:

First, relax your expectations. What we are doing now is not the same as traditional home schooling.

Next, make a schedule for school that fits your family.

Third, aim for focused learning blocks of three to 10 minutes at a time for children in grades K through 2; 10 to 15 minutes for grades 3 to 5 and 30 minutes for grades 6 to 12.

Fourth, set up a consistent space for schoolwork.

Fifth, especially for active children, experiment with more flexible work environments.

Finally, if children are struggling, don’t hesitate to reach out to teachers and ask for help.
